Developed by DFS pro Mike McClure, our proprietary model has been a cult favorite since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model has won tournament after tournament, with him exceeding the highest bet since its relaunch by over $10,000. McClure’s model predicted that Jon Rahm would finish at the top of the leaderboards at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and American Express. And at the 2023 Masters, Rahm’s second major win of his career set an example before the weekend. Rahm was two shots behind the leader early in the third round, but models still predicted him as the winner. This model won the Masters two years in a row, and in 2022 it also won Scotty Schaeffler.
Additionally, the model counts Nick Taylor as one of the best bets to win the 2023 RBC Canadian Open. That stake reached a value of +7,000, and throughout the tournament McClure’s highest bet brought in nearly $1,900. McClure’s best bets include Jason Day (17-1), who won the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson overall, and Rickie Fowler, who finished top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic. (14 wins and 1 loss) were also included.
The same model also won a whopping nine major tournaments over the weekend. Everyone who follows it has achieved great success.

Top 2023 Genesis Scottish Open predictions
One major surprise the model is calling for at the Genesis Scottish Open 2023: Xander Schauffele, the defending champion and one of the top favorites, stumbles this week and fails to crack the top five. Schauffele has been extremely consistent this season, securing a top-25 finish in 14 of his 17 starts on the PGA Tour.
However, Schauffele has yet to win this season and he’s finished T-18 or worse in three of his last four starts. Schauffele’s recent results can be directly attributed to his struggles with accuracy off the tee. The 29-year-old enters the Genesis Scottish Open ranked 100th in driving accuracy percentage (58.91%). He also ranks 128th in proximity (38’9) on approach shots. He’s not a strong pick to win it all and there are far better values in the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open field.
Another surprise: Spieth, a 21-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. Links courses are few and far between in the U.S., but they are plentiful in the U.K. Spieth’s last three trips to the U.K. — counting both the Scottish Open and the Open Championship — have resulted in three top-10 finishes. Overall, Spieth has notched top 10s in half of his last 12 stroke play tournaments.
Weather and wind conditions will make ball striking an important metric this week, and Spieth is among the top 10 in the field in strokes gained: approach. He also has displayed the ability to recover after a tough hole as his bounce back percentage of 26.47% is 11th-best on tour. That will be needed at a difficult course where bogeys are unavoidable as last year’s tournament saw just 14% of the field finish under par. Spieth combines success at comparable courses with strengths that should play well at The Renaissance Club, so he has a much better chance at winning than his 2023 Scottish Open odds imply.
