Andrew Joel Saez Obituary – A man from Windsor Locks lost his life on Tuesday afternoon when his Toyota pickup truck veered off the road on Route 5/15 northbound and overturned, according to the Connecticut State Police. The victim has been identified as Andrew Joel Saez, a 26-year-old individual.
According to the state police’s crash summary, Saez was driving in the left lane, heading north near Exit 89, when his 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab suddenly crossed over to the right lane around 2 p.m. on Tuesday. The truck then proceeded to enter the left lane of the Exit 89 off-ramp, before veering into the right lane, crossing the right shoulder, and ultimately entering the grassy area to the right of the off-ramp, as stated by the state police.
Subsequently, the truck rolled over and came to a stop in the grassy area off the road, as reported by the state police. Saez was rushed to Hartford Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead, according to the agency. The truck was later towed away from the scene, and the state police have confirmed that the crash is currently being investigated.
