Barnegat Township Stabbing Investigations – Police in Barnegat Township, New Jersey are investigating the stabbing death of two individuals Thursday morning. According to law enforcement agencies, school campuses in the area of Stafford Township have been placed on an immediate locate as law enforcement agencies investigate the incident.
According to reports, two persons were found dead in the area of Bengal Blvd and Lincoln in Barnegat Twp. Out of an abundance of caution, school campuses in the area have been ordered to shelter in place. According to investigators on the scene of the incident, the suspect involved has been identified as a Hispanic male, in all Black clothing, carrying a black backpack. The unnamed suspect was last seen on foot on Lincoln near Barnegat High School and Barnegat Elementary School area.
Ocean County Sheriff – OC Sheriff Alert: Please stay away from the area of Bengal Blvd and Lincoln in Barnegat Twp due to police activity. At the time of this publication, the Barnegat Township School District has not released any officials details concerning the incident.
Following the incident, the Stafford Township Police Department released the following statement; “Out of an abundance of caution, the Stafford Township Police Department is advising all schools within Stafford Township to enter in to a “Shelter in Place” due to an incident that occurred in Barnegat Township. Please do not respond to the school to pick up your child, as they ARE SAFE!! Please be ensured that the safety of our community and children is our number one priority. As information is received, we will update our schools and social media platforms.
