Carolyn McCall Lund Obituary – The dump truck driver who tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle crash on April 22 in Rosman has been identified by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Carolyn McCall Lund, a 63-year-old resident of Transylvania County, has been named as the victim, according to Sgt. Jim Contas. The accident occurred on U.S. 64 West in Rosman near Silversteen Road, after Lund veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Contas stated that speed is not believed to be a contributing factor, and it is yet to be determined whether Lund was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The cause of death is still under investigation, with the medical examiner working to determine if it was related to a medical condition or injuries sustained in the accident. Moody Connolly, located at 181 S. Caldwell St. in Brevard, will be handling the funeral arrangements.
A celebration of life service for Lund is scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. on May 4 at the funeral home. Please stay tuned for further updates on this story.
