Casey Edwin Roush Death – The News-Journal received a report six days ago regarding a tragic motorcycle accident that took place on March 30. The crash report, requested on April 3, identified the individual involved as Casey Edwin Roush, aged 46. According to Ormond Beach police, Roush was riding his motorcycle at an estimated speed of 80 mph in a 45 mph zone on Airport Road heading south when he hit a curb near the intersection of Sunshine Boulevard at 6:32 p.m. on March 30.
After hitting the curb, the motorcycle rolled and collided with a tree at the intersection, causing Roush to be thrown 30 feet from the vehicle, as stated by the police. Roush was then taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach by Ormond Beach police, where he passed away around 3 a.m. on March 31.
The crash report from Ormond Beach police mentioned that they suspected Roush had consumed alcohol before the accident.
