Chad Barron Death – Austin police have identified a man who was stabbed and killed near a 7-Eleven in northwest Austin, according to authorities. Chad Barron, 48, was at an intersection close to the 7-Eleven on Research Boulevard and West Braker Lane on Sunday night when an unidentified person stabbed him. Barron later walked into the store and fell to the ground, according to police.
Police responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. where they found Barron on the ground with “an apparent knife wound.” He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. The suspect ran away after the stabbing, according to police. This case is being investigated as Austin’s 66th homicide of this year.
