Chase McCutcheon, Jason Phillips Death – Two individuals tragically lost their lives in a catastrophic incident that occurred early Monday morning in the northeastern area of Fresno. The collision between their electric car and a railing resulted in this unfortunate occurrence. The victims have been identified as Jason Phillips, 24 years old, who is believed to have been the driver, and Chase McCutcheon, 32 years old, who was a passenger.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office confirmed their identities. Both individuals were found to have been involved in the accident, as further investigation revealed. Regrettably, it was discovered that neither Phillips nor McCutcheon were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. Consequently, they were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision also caused injuries to a third passenger who had been wearing a seatbelt. This passenger was promptly taken to the hospital for necessary medical attention. The California Highway Patrol has indicated that driving under the influence of alcohol may have played a significant role in this tragic incident, particularly considering the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations that had taken place.
