Christopher Johnson Death – Two teenagers, aged 18, are currently facing legal charges after being involved in a collision that resulted in the death of a construction worker near St. Louis. Law enforcement authorities arrived at the crash site in south St. Louis County at approximately 10:35 a.m. on Friday, where a Cadillac had been involved in the accident.
As per the probable cause statement from the St. Louis County Police, Deondre Robinson and Patrick Aten were engaged in a high-speed race when Robinson lost control of his vehicle, causing it to spin and collide with two construction workers.
One of the construction workers, identified as 34-year-old Christopher Johnson, was declared deceased at the scene, while the other sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
Robinson and Aten have both been charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter and second-degree assault. Additionally, Robinson faces charges for operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license.
Both individuals are currently in custody with a cash-only bond set at $150,000.
