Corey Alexander Obituary – Corey Alexander’s lifeless body was discovered approximately one and a half miles away from the location where his vehicle was found, as stated by the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office in a press release. According to the release, searchers made a significant breakthrough around noon today when they stumbled upon footprints in the snow in an area that had not been previously searched. These footprints, accompanied by those of a dog, strongly suggested that they belonged to Mr. Alexander. Furthermore, other tracks were found by additional searchers and deputies, indicating an irregular pattern of movement.
Volunteer searchers diligently followed the tracks until they eventually located Corey Alexander and his faithful canine companion. The dog has since been reunited with the family, as mentioned in the release. The press release also mentioned that a thorough investigation into the cause of death is currently underway, and the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the exact cause.
In Klamath County, Oregon, authorities from the Sheriff’s Office are actively searching for Corey Alexander, a 54-year-old man who is believed to have gone missing in the vicinity of the Williamson River Highway and Forest Service Road 45. Additionally, his one-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever is also unaccounted for.
As stated in the news release, a friend and occasional roommate reported seeing Mr. Alexander a few miles away from his cabin prior to the snowstorm. However, the friend did not engage in conversation with him and could not recall the exact date or time of the sighting. The release further mentioned that the police were informed of Alexander’s disappearance on Saturday. Although his car has been located, there are no other indications of his whereabouts.
During the initial night of the search, deputies from the Sheriff’s Office extensively combed the area and snow-covered roads. They managed to locate Mr. Alexander’s locked pickup truck, which was buried under two feet of fresh snow. Surprisingly, there were no tracks in the snow or any clues pointing towards a possible direction of travel. The cabin where Corey Alexander resided was also thoroughly searched, but there was no evidence suggesting that anyone had been there since the snowstorm. On Sunday, the police discovered an area where Alexander may have been cutting wood. Following markings left by an unknown individual, they were led to a specific location.
