Danielle Hines Obituary – The identity of the victim in a fatal shooting in the Piedmont Triad has been confirmed as a corrections officer. Officer Danielle Hines, aged 37, was tragically shot and killed, along with a juvenile victim, at a residence on Cherry Grove Road. Fortunately, two other children who were also shot survived their injuries, which were not life-threatening.
Officer Hines had been employed as a correctional officer in Caswell County and had been serving in this role since December 2020, according to the Department of Adult Corrections.
The suspect, Anthony Lamont Siler, aged 36, took his own life during a traffic stop conducted by the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office. This stop was initiated after the CCSO issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for him.
