Darla Williams, Marilyn Snapp Obituary, Death – The Logan County Sheriff’s office has identified two women who lost their lives on Thursday following tornadoes that struck Indian Lake. Darla Williams, aged 70, and Marilyn Snapp, aged 81, succumbed to injuries sustained during the storms that ravaged various parts of Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. A third victim has also perished but remains unidentified at this time.
Central Ohio bore the brunt of at least eight tornadoes on Thursday night, with the most severe being an EF3 tornado that hit Indian Lake, situated approximately 70 miles northwest of Columbus in Logan County.
The tragic event claimed three lives at a mobile home park, with officials reporting an additional 20 individuals injured, marking it as a “mass casualty” incident. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine responded by declaring a state of emergency in eleven counties impacted by the tornadoes, obligating state agencies to provide assistance to the affected areas.
Moreover, Governor DeWine activated the Ohio National Guard to aid Logan County authorities in clearing public property damaged by the storms. Both Williams and Snapp were residents of the Geiger Mobile Home Park in Lakeview, one of the hardest-hit areas.
The Logan County Sheriff’s office confirmed that family members of Williams and Snapp have been notified of their tragic demise.
