David Koleski Obituary, Death – Bucks County coroner Meredith Buck announced today that the man who died on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in a motorcycle crash on 13th Street in Falls Town was David Koleski, 32, of Croydon. According to police and bystanders, Koleski lost control of his motorcycle after hitting a pothole on Bristol Pike Road, just south of the intersection with Mill Creek Road, on Saturday morning.
Public outrage over the condition of the road was raging on Lower Bucks Source’s Facebook page with some commenting. The image provided below is close to the accident scene, however, it does not appear to be the “series of potholes” that Koleski hit before he lost control of his motorcycle and collided. The Lower Bucks district is teeming with motor enthusiasts, cyclists, and clubs that frequent busy streets like Bristol Pike.
“I called and complained many times. Even posting messages on Facebook warning motorists,” said Edward Fino, a concerned citizen.
Buck said his cause of death was multiple trauma and the manner of death was determined to be accidental. Police said alcohol, drugs or a medical emergency were not considered to have caused the crash. Authorities said Saturday that the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
Relatives of the deceased have been notified and on behalf of the Bucks County Coroner’s Office, Coroner Buck extends his deepest condolences to his family and friends for their tragic loss. Koleski’s family has yet to comment publicly on their loss and Saturday’s tragic accident.
Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact Coroner Sergeant Bryan White at (215) 328-8519, or by email at b.white@fallstwppd.com, or anonymously at tiplines@fallstwppd.com. The Lower Bucks source has contacted PennDOT to inquire about reported potholes and pavement defects that officials believe contributed to the young man’s death. No response was received as of Monday night.
