David Thomas Fairchild Obituary – The man who lost his life in the tragic accident on FM 2105 at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, has been identified by the Texas DPS as 68-year-old David Thomas Fairchild from San Angelo. Fairchild was driving a 1999 Ford F-250 pickup truck when he turned west from a private drive onto FM 2105. As he was accelerating on the improved shoulder to merge into the westbound lane, he was struck from behind by a 2004 Ford F-250 driven by 43-year-old Timothy James Clark, also from San Angelo.
Clark, who was not wearing a seatbelt, tragically lost his life in the collision. Fairchild remained unharmed. The crash, which occurred in an area with a speed limit of 60 mph, took place on a dry roadway during daylight hours.
The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office and Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene, with the investigation being carried out by DPS Trooper Nicholas Easter. Initially reported at 7:19 p.m., the time of the incident was later corrected to 7:05 p.m.
