Debra Bice Obituary – A 70-year-old Elk Mound woman has been identified as the driver killed in a crash with a semi near Elk Mound on Monday night, according to a press release from the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office. Around 8:30 p.m., Debra Bice was driving a pickup truck westbound on Wisconsin Highway 29 and attempted to turn south onto 970th Street but failed to yield to an eastbound semi that was hauling pigs. After colliding, both vehicles went off the road down a steep embankment and hit several trees.
Upon arrival, deputies located Bice, who was unresponsive. She was later pronounced dead at the scene by the Dunn County Medical Examiner’s Office. Both vehicles only had one occupant, and the semi driver had no apparent injuries. The semi also remained intact, and no pigs were released at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and the Dunn County Medical Examiner’s Office.
