Ella Riley Adler Death – Fifteen-year-old Ella Riley Adler, who tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run boat collision off Key Biscayne on Saturday, has been identified. Ella, a student at Ransom Everglades School and a member of the dance team, was known for her radiant love and joy, as expressed by her family in her obituary. She showcased her talent as a ballerina in The Nutcracker, captivating audiences in over 100 performances with the Miami City Ballet at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. while Ella was water skiing near Nixon Beach. A boater struck her and fled the scene. The last sighting of the boat was heading west from Nixon Beach. The vessel is described as having a light blue center console, potentially with blue or dark blue bottom paint, and equipped with three or four white outboard engines.
A first responder at the scene reported observing a significant amount of blood in the water, as reported by WSVN 7News. Ella was celebrating a friend’s birthday on a family boat at the time of the accident.
Ella’s family is deeply grieving her loss. They remember her as a compassionate individual who always stood up for what was right, expressing her thoughts with both warmth and grace. Additionally, Ella took great pride in her Jewish heritage, being the great-granddaughter of Holocaust survivors. Her family highlights her love for Israel and her lineage of strong Jewish leaders.
