Eric Cook Death – Louisiana State Police reported that a fatal collision occurred in Tangipahoa Parish on the evening of April 15, resulting in the death of Eric Cook, a 45-year-old resident of Hammond. The incident took place just after 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 190 and South Baptist Road in Tangipahoa Parish.
Preliminary findings indicate that the collision transpired when Cook was traveling north on South Baptist Road in a Toyota Corolla, while a Honda CRV was traveling east on U.S. Highway 190. According to troopers, the driver of the Honda failed to stop at a red light, leading to the collision with Cook’s vehicle.
Cook was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Honda CRV sustained minor injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently being investigated by authorities.
