Ernest Partin Obituary – Ernest Partin, a 38-year-old man, has been identified by the Boston Police Department as the individual who tragically lost his life after being struck by a car in East Boston on the evening of January 27. According to the police, the incident occurred shortly after 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of Addison Street and Route 1A. This location is near Boston Logan International Airport, situated in the Orient Heights neighborhood, with the Maverick Mills building occupying the opposite corner of the intersection.
Upon discovery, Ernest Partin was found to have sustained life-threatening injuries and unfortunately succumbed to them at the scene, as confirmed by the department. Following the incident, the driver involved in the collision remained at the scene, while homicide detectives, along with a reconstruction team, commenced an investigation into the crash. The police have not disclosed whether Partin was within a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident, nor have they released information regarding the directions of travel for both the driver and the pedestrian. As of February 6, the department has not announced any charges against the driver about the crash.
