Gregory Little Death – The Lincoln Police Department has provided an update regarding the tragic incident that occurred outside a downtown Lincoln bar on Sunday. The victim has been identified as Gregory Little, a 32-year-old resident of Lincoln. Upon receiving a report of a person who had been shot multiple times, officers and members of Lincoln Fire and Rescue promptly arrived at the Royal Hookah Bar and Lounge located at 16th & O streets at 3 a.m.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mr. Little lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. Immediate CPR was administered, and he was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical professionals, Mr. Little succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the altercation began when Mr. Little became involved in a dispute with several other patrons over cutting in line. LPD Assistant Chief Jason Stille revealed that the security team, which had been hired from Omaha, intervened when Mr. Little or someone else attempted to grab their baton. The altercation escalated, resulting in a 24-year-old security guard firing four shots at Mr. Little. The police have confirmed that Mr. Little sustained gunshot wounds to his arm and chest.
At present, no individuals have been taken into custody, and it remains uncertain whether any charges will be filed in connection with this case. Assistant Chief Stille has urged any other individuals who may have been injured during the incident, as well as any witnesses, to come forward with any information or video recordings they may possess.
