Gwendolyn Owsley Obituary, Death – Gwendolyn L. “Gwennie” Williams, who was born on June 8, 1955, and currently resides in Owensboro, has reached the age of 62 years. Since then, both of her parents, the late George W. Greenfield, Jr. and Anita L. Jackson Owsley, have also left this world. On the evening of Saturday, March 3, 2018, she passed away quietly while she was under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.
To bring Mary back to heaven to live with the Lord, God dispatched his angels. Gwennie attended Owensboro High School, where she also earned her high school diploma, and was an involved member of the Owensboro Christian Church. Above all other things, the time she got to spend with her grandkids was the thing that she valued the most. In addition to her birth parents.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, William R. Owsley, Sr., a brother, William R. Owsley, Jr., a sister, Beverly N. Slaughter, and Jeffrey Nichols. Her sister Beverly N. Slaughter was also one of her predeceased relatives. Her mother, Anita L. Owsley, her sons Peter Williams, Justin Williams, and Christopher (Joy) Nichols, all of Owensboro.
Her seven grandchildren, her brothers Richard Greenfield of Maryland, George Greenfield III of Ohio, James Greenfield of Florida, and Myron Greenfield of Arizona, her sisters Audrey Henderson, Joyce Floyd, and Willene Husk, all of Owensboro, as well as a number of members of her extended family, all survive. The funeral and burial services will be held in strict confidence.
