Jacob Ambriz Obituary – The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 19-year-old man who lost his life in a tragic two-car collision in San Pasqual Valley last month. Jacob Ambriz, a resident of Escondido, was driving an eastbound Pontiac sedan on San Pasqual Road on January 21 when he abruptly veered into the westbound lane and collided with a Chevrolet sedan at approximately 1:35 p.m., as reported by the San Diego Police Department.
Disturbing footage reveals that both vehicles burst into flames and were severely damaged as a result of the impact.
Tragically, Ambriz succumbed to his injuries at the scene, according to the SDPD. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that the cause of death for the young man was multiple blunt force injuries to the head, torso, and limbs. They have classified his death as an accident.
Authorities have already informed Ambriz’s next of kin about the devastating incident. The occupants of the Chevrolet sedan, a 79-year-old man and an 80-year-old woman, were transported to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The medical examiner’s office has stated that there were no contributing factors to the collision.
