Jamarcus R. Thomas Obituary, Death – A Selma resident lost his life in a head-on collision in Autauga County. The victim, identified as Jamarcus R. Thomas, was 26 years old. The incident occurred at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday along Alabama 14, approximately one mile east of Autaugaville.
According to Trooper Sgt. Jeremy Burkett, Thomas’s Honda Accord crashed head-on with a Cadillac CTS driven by 63-year-old Angela D. Murray from Prattville. Thomas, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Accord, Melvin Barnes Jr., 25, was transported to Baptist South Medical Center for medical attention.
Murray sustained injuries and was also taken to Baptist South. The Alabama State Troopers are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
