James Johnson Obituary, Death: The driver of a stolen car who fatally struck a 63-year-old man in Fairfax County, Virginia, early Sunday morning is being sought by the police. The incident occurred in the Hybla Valley area of Fairfax County, according to a police news release.
A black 2015 Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen from the 7900 block of Sausalito Place on Saturday night, as stated by Fairfax County police. Law enforcement officers spotted the stolen vehicle just after 12:15 a.m. on Buckman Road near Russell Road. The driver of the car fled upon seeing the police, who did not pursue the vehicle.
Approximately 15 minutes later, the stolen car was seen speeding on Janna Lee Avenue towards a dead end. The Hyundai sideswiped another vehicle with a person inside near Tamarind Street. Following the collision with the dumpster, the driver of the stolen car was nowhere to be found when the police arrived.
In the vicinity of the dumpster crash, an injured pedestrian, identified as James Johnson, 63, of Hybla Valley, was found in the grass. He was transported to the hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
