James Johnson Obituary, Death – A 63-year-old male was struck by a stolen vehicle in the Hybla Valley region and succumbed to his injuries. The Fairfax County police are currently in pursuit of the driver responsible for the incident. According to authorities, a black 2015 Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen on Saturday night from the 7900 block of Sausalito Place. Shortly after midnight on Sunday, officers spotted the stolen car on Buckman Road while conducting their search.
The driver quickly fled the scene, and the officers chose not to engage in a pursuit at that time. However, approximately 15 minutes later, another officer observed the stolen vehicle speeding towards a dead end on Janna Lee Avenue. The driver then collided with another vehicle near Tamarind Street, causing damage.
The officers pursued the stolen Hyundai and eventually discovered it had crashed into a dumpster. Unfortunately, the driver had already fled the scene. However, nearby in the grass, the officers found a pedestrian who they believe was struck by the stolen car.
The victim has been identified as James Johnson, a 63-year-old resident of Hybla Valley. He was transported to a hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
