Jason Jester Death – Authorities reported that a fatal rollover crash occurred on Interstate 10 in Cathedral City, resulting in the death of a 41-year-old motorist. The incident took place just before 2 a.m. on Thursday, in the eastbound direction of I-10, approximately one mile east of Palm Drive. The victim, identified as Jason Jester from Indio, sustained fatal injuries during the collision.
According to Officer David Torres of the California Highway Patrol, Jester was driving his Ford F-150 pickup in the No. 2 lane at an unknown speed when he suddenly veered to the right and collided with a 2008 Buick Enclave traveling in the No. 3 lane. Subsequently, the Ford continued its trajectory to the right, ultimately hitting a sign and overturning. As a result, Jester was ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency medical services arrived at the scene within 15 minutes, but unfortunately, Jester was pronounced dead. The driver of the Buick, a 50-year-old woman from Arizona, did not sustain any injuries.
Officer Torres stated that it is still uncertain whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. An autopsy on Jester’s body was scheduled for Friday to determine further details.
