Jeffrey David Young Obituary – Jeffrey David Young, a Loveland man, has been identified as the individual who lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in Rist Canyon, as confirmed by the Larimer County Coroner’s Office. The office stated that Young, aged 36, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
The incident took place on February 12th around 10 p.m. on Whale Rock Road, slightly west of Hernia Hill Trail, according to information previously provided by Colorado State Patrol Trooper Gabriel Moltrer. Moltrer explained that Young, the sole occupant of a Chevy Silverado, was traveling west on Whale Rock Road when the front left wheel veered off the road while navigating a left curve.
Consequently, the vehicle rolled down a steep embankment, completing at least 2 3/4 rotations before coming to rest on its passenger side at the bottom of the embankment. The exact depth of the embankment was not disclosed by CSP. The crash was reported shortly before 8 a.m. on Tuesday, and emergency crews promptly located the vehicle and Young, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
