Jennifer Napier Death – A fatal collision occurred in Amherst County, resulting in the death of one woman and serious injuries to three individuals, as reported by state police. The incident took place at approximately 6 p.m. on Wednesday. According to Virginia State Police, a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on Business Route U.S. 29 when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Old Stage Rd.
Unfortunately, this maneuver caused the Corolla to collide with a northbound Toyota Scion, which was also attempting to turn onto the same road. Jennifer Napier, a 40-year-old resident of Amherst and the driver of the Corolla, was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Additionally, two passengers in the Corolla and one passenger in the Scion sustained serious injuries, as confirmed by VSP.
The 16-year-old driver of the Scion, however, remained unharmed, and it is worth noting that all individuals involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
