John Doe Obituary – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office website has identified the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway near West Whittier and Pico Rivera as “John Doe #78.” The motorist, described as a man in his 40s, was killed in the fiery incident.
California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene around 2:35 a.m. on Friday after receiving reports of a gray Saturn engulfed in flames in a ditch near the Slauson Avenue on-ramp. The vehicle had collided with a freeway embankment before veering off the road. Sadly, the motorist was pronounced dead at the scene.
