Jon Wysocki Obituary – Jon Wysocki, the former drummer of the rock band Staind, passed away at the age of 53. According to Variety, Wysocki co-founded Staind in 2004 and played drums for the band until 2011. During his time with the band, they achieved success with hits like “It’s Been Awhile” and “So Far Away.” His current band, Lydia’s Castle, confirmed his death through an Instagram post. They stated that he passed away on Saturday, surrounded by his loved ones.
The cause of his death has not been disclosed. However, just before his passing, a bandmate from Lydia’s Castle mentioned on Facebook that Wysocki was in the ICU and experiencing liver-related issues.
Staind also acknowledged his death on social media, paying tribute to him on Instagram. They expressed their deep connection with Jon, as they had known him since 1994 and founded Staind together in 1995. They emphasized his integral role in the band and extended their condolences to his family and fans worldwide.
Reports suggest that Wysocki left Staind in 2011 due to conflicts with singer Aaron Lewis, who is also a founding member of the band.
In a heartfelt post on X, Lewis shared his grief on Sunday. He reflected on the battles they faced together, both as allies and adversaries, and the impact they had on each other’s lives. Lewis described Wysocki as a friend and a brother, expressing his shattered heart and the profound change his passing has brought upon him.
