Joseph Hines Obituary – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the deceased individual discovered at a residence in Stone Oak on Tuesday morning. The man has been identified as Joseph Hines, 46 years old. The cause and manner of his death have not yet been disclosed.
According to SAPD Chief William McManus, Hines was found deceased at a home located in the 900 block of Cheyenne Creek, near Knights Cross Drive and Evans Road. He had sustained a gunshot wound. Additionally, Hines’ 23-year-old daughter was also shot and is currently in critical condition at a hospital.
McManus confirmed that Hines’ wife, a 50-year-old woman, who is also the mother of the injured daughter, was unharmed and cooperating with the police. While McManus refrained from speculating on the details of the incident, he assured the public that there is no immediate threat to their safety.
Only one weapon was discovered at the scene.
McManus revealed that the police had previously responded to approximately four calls at the residence over the past few years, which were related to mental health issues and disturbances.
