Kenneth Ellis Obituary – According to authorities, a motorist from Massachusetts who led police on a chase through two states was fatally shot after crashing his vehicle in Maine and approaching an officer with a knife. The incident occurred on Tuesday night when Kenneth Ellis, 52, abandoned his disabled pickup truck on Main Street and confronted a Fryeburg police officer, who then fired his weapon.
Ellis, who was last known to reside in Hyannis, Massachusetts, was pronounced dead at the scene. The pursuit initially began in New Hampshire and concluded when Ellis’ truck collided with multiple vehicles before crashing into a snowbank in Fryeburg. During the chase, an Oxford County deputy sustained injuries in a collision with another vehicle, although the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
