Kenny Montoya Santos Obituary – The Upper Darby police are currently on the lookout for a suspected murderer who is considered to be armed and dangerous. This individual is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in the basement of a residence on Kent Road in Upper Darby around 2 a.m. on Sunday. The suspect has been identified as Yeicop Menjivar, who also goes by the name Yieco Menjivar Pacheco. Authorities have described the suspect, stating that he is in his late 20s or early 30s. He was last seen driving a blue and black Honda Civic with a Pennsylvania license plate bearing the number LWH 4182.
According to Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt of the Upper Darby Township Police Department, Menjivar went to his ex-girlfriend’s house and demanded to speak with her. A verbal argument ensued between Menjivar and his ex-girlfriend on the first floor of the house. The situation escalated when the girlfriend’s brother intervened, leading to a physical altercation that eventually moved to the basement. It was there that Menjivar pulled out a gun and shot the brother in the head, resulting in his tragic death.
The victim has not been publicly identified by the police, but family members have confirmed his identity as 24-year-old Kenny Montoya Santos. Santos was declared brain dead after the shooting and was subsequently taken off life support. Superintendent Bernhardt commended the brother’s actions, stating that he bravely intervened to protect his sister from harm. Unfortunately, Menjivar directed his anger towards the brother, ultimately taking his life. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Menjivar’s whereabouts to contact the Upper Darby Township Police Department immediately.
