Larry Cole Obituary – Last month, a man was discovered deceased inside a residence in the North Bottoms area, as confirmed by the Lincoln Police Department. On December 19, around 4:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to conduct a welfare check at a home located near the intersection of 12th and New Hampshire streets. Despite their attempts, no one responded when they knocked on the door. Additionally, the officers detected the presence of gas upon their arrival. Consequently, Lincoln Fire & Rescue was called to shut off the gas supply to the house.
Once the gas was turned off, emergency crews entered the premises and discovered two individuals, Alaric Harden, aged 45, and Larry Cole, aged 76. Tragically, Cole was pronounced dead at the scene. Harden, who was conscious, was immediately transported to a hospital for medical evaluation. Following his clearance, he was apprehended on suspicion of either removing or concealing human remains. The authorities have classified this case as a homicide and are currently conducting an investigation. At this time, no suspect has been identified.
