Marty’s involvement with IU Athletics dates back a long time when he gave his all to the IU Football team. He was a consistent pillar of support throughout the highs and lows of collegiate athletics, constantly assuring that the players and the program had the tools they needed to thrive. He was a vital member of the IU Athletics community because of his unwavering dedication and passion for the game.
Marty began working for the football program as well as serving as the Senior Assistant AD of Team Purchasing & Licensing. In this role, he was instrumental in overseeing the licensing and procurement procedures for IU Athletics, ensuring that our teams had access to the best gear and that our branding was expertly represented. Marty’s dedication to quality and attention to detail made a major difference in our department’s overall success.
Beyond his accomplishments in the workplace, Marty was a beloved friend and coworker to many. He had a friendly disposition that made everyone feel like a member of the IU Athletics family. All who had the pleasure of knowing him admired him for his generosity, sense of humor, and eagerness to provide a helping hand. Our thoughts and prayers are with Marty’s family as we lament his passing. We acknowledge that Marty was not simply a committed worker but also a devoted husband, parent, and friend.
