Melinda Traub Death – A 77-year-old woman from Montana lost her life in a collision in Humboldt County on March 29, as reported by the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP). NHP was called to the scene of a solo vehicle accident on I-80 close to mile marker 215 in Humboldt County just before 5:30 p.m. on March 29. This spot is around 14 miles to the west of Battle Mountain.
After an initial investigation, it was determined that a red 2004 Ford F-150 pickup was heading east on I-80 when the driver veered onto the inside shoulder. The driver attempted to steer back onto the road, but overcorrected, causing the vehicle to veer into the median where it flipped over.
The driver, identified as Melinda Traub, a 77-year-old from Broadus, Montana, was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.
