The unfortunate incident took place on Thursday when Gresham was found with gunshot wounds on Rose Garden Lane. The Chancellor of the university, Johnson Akinleye, conveyed this heartbreaking news through a letter.
The incident unfolded around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday when the Durham Police received a report of a car crash in the vicinity. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered a car that had collided with two parked cars. However, both vehicles were unoccupied by the time the police arrived. The following day, Gresham was identified as the driver of the crashed car and was found with gunshot wounds. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of both the crash and the gunshots.
During his time at North Carolina Central University, Gresham actively pursued his passion for business, both inside and outside the classroom.
