Nathy Odinson Obituary – A tragic incident occurred in Thailand when a British Base jumper lost his life due to a parachute malfunction during a daring stunt. Nathy Odinson, a 33-year-old from Cambridgeshire, had a passion for skydiving and Base jumping and had performed these activities all over the world. However, on this fateful day, he illegally climbed a 29-story building in Pattaya, a coastal resort, and attempted a jump.
A video captured by his Thai friend and shared on social media shows Odinson counting down before leaping off the building. Unfortunately, he landed in a tree before hitting the ground. Photos from the scene revealed a blue parachute lying next to a protective helmet. Odinson’s brother, Ed Harrison, expressed his grief and revealed that the video of his brother’s final moments indicated that his mini pilot chute got entangled in his harness, preventing the main parachute from deploying. Despite his extensive experience with over 5,000 jumps worldwide, Odinson made a fatal mistake that cost him his life.
Harrison paid tribute to his brother, describing him as a fun-loving and joyful person who was great with children. He was deeply loved and admired by Harrison’s own three children. Authorities are investigating the incident, with forensic officers examining the malfunctioning parachute. The friend who recorded the video has been questioned, and the footage is being treated as evidence. The Foreign Office has confirmed that they are providing support to Odinson’s family during this difficult time.
