Nickita Sammy Death – Maryland State Police investigators have identified Nickita Sammy, a resident of Accokeek, as the individual who tragically lost their life in a collision involving Timothy Brickhouse, a 26-year-old from Brandywine. The incident occurred overnight in Brandywine, at the intersection of Earnshaw Drive and Branch Avenue, when Sammy was a passenger in a Hyundai traveling south.
The driver of the Hyundai attempted to make a left turn and was struck by Brickhouse’s BMW. Tragically, Sammy was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was promptly transported to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Fortunately, Brickhouse emerged from the crash unharmed. The Maryland State Police are currently conducting an investigation into the incident, and the findings will be presented to the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office to determine if charges should be filed.
During the investigation, Branch Avenue was temporarily closed on Wednesday night to facilitate the examination and clearance of the scene.
