Norzel Ross Jr Obituary – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that a man was fatally shot in east Las Vegas on Sunday, and it was allegedly his girlfriend’s son who committed the act. Although the victim’s identity was not officially confirmed by the police, his family identified him as Norzel Ross Jr., a 55-year-old individual. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. on January 14 at an apartment complex located in the 3700 block of Bonanza Road near Pecos. According to the police, the shooting originated from a verbal dispute between Ross Jr. and his girlfriend in their shared apartment.
The girlfriend’s son, who also resided in the same apartment, intervened, leading to a physical altercation. Subsequently, the son retrieved a firearm and shot Ross Jr., resulting in his death. Family members revealed that Ross Jr. was involved in an unhealthy and tumultuous relationship, characterized by constant arguments and threats from his girlfriend to have her son harm him. Gavin Johnson, Norzel’s brother, expressed his concern about their living situation, stating that they all resided together, which he found peculiar. Johnson also mentioned that he had offered Ross Jr. a place to live, but he was unable to separate himself from his girlfriend. James Yates, Norzel’s brother-in-law, expressed his deep distress and disbelief, emphasizing the close bond they shared and his longing to have him back.
