Nycole Tasheena Tate Death, A 30-year-old woman has passed away, and a 42-year-old man is currently in police custody following a hit-and-run incident in Foley on Thursday night. The Foley police department received a call about a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 65 and Airport Road. The vehicle involved had left the scene. Upon arrival, authorities found the victim, identified as 30-year-old Nycole Tasheena Tate of Foley, deceased.
Investigators began their work, and later that night, the 42-year-old suspect, Kaleb Ryan Owens, contacted 911 claiming he had hit a deer. Upon inspection of his 2008 BMW, authorities found damages consistent with the incident. Owens cooperated initially but later requested legal representation. Substantial evidence led to his arrest on charges of felony hit-and-run causing death. Owens is currently detained at Baldwin County Jail with a bond set at $20,000. If found guilty, he could face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $15,000.
