Pamela O Neil Obituary – The Essex County District Attorney’s office confirmed to MassLive Tuesday morning that Pamela O’Neil, a 62-year-old woman, was tragically killed in Methuen on Sunday night after being struck by a motorcycle. O’Neil was discovered lying face down on the side of the road at 471 Lowell St. around 8:35 p.m. Sunday. Despite the efforts of the first responding officer and paramedics, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at Lawrence General Hospital.
Police reported that video footage of the incident revealed a motorcycle traveling at a high speed had collided with O’Neil. Kelsie O’Neil, Pamela’s daughter, described her mother as having a compassionate heart and being a radiant presence in any room she entered. The rider of the motorcycle involved in the crash was apprehended by police on Monday after fleeing the scene.
Kelsie O’Neil expressed her devastation over the loss of her mother and emphasized the need for justice to be served. She highlighted her mother’s military service as a paratrooper and her significant achievement as one of the first women in Essex County to earn her wings from the 82nd Airborne.
Kelsie O’Neil called for the responsible party to face severe legal consequences and serve time in prison.
