Ronald Huntley Obituary, Death – On Thursday, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office identified Ronald Huntley as the pedestrian who tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident in the Florence area of Los Angeles. The collision took place around 11:05 p.m. on Sunday near Avalon Boulevard and 81st Street, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Huntley succumbed to blunt force injuries caused by the crash. During their investigation, detectives determined that a potentially white-colored sedan was speeding southbound on Avalon Boulevard. The driver intentionally swerved into the northbound lanes to bypass other vehicles yielding to pedestrians, ultimately striking Huntley, who was crossing east on Avalon Boulevard in an unmarked crosswalk.
The vehicle then fled the scene, continuing southbound on Avalon Boulevard from 83rd Street. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene but sadly pronounced Huntley deceased. In an effort to bring the responsible party to justice, a reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for any information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
