Ryan White Death: The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has disclosed the identity of a San Diego man involved in a fatal incident over the weekend. Identified as Ryan White, aged 43, the victim hailed from San Diego County, as confirmed by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Bureau.
Events unfolded shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday when deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call originating from the 31000 block of Neer Street in Homeland. The call reported an assault involving a deadly weapon.
Upon reaching the scene, deputies discovered a man inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Swiftly, he was transported to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him deceased.
At the scene, deputies apprehended and detained a potential suspect, later identified as Benjamin Velez, aged 40 and a resident of Homeland. Velez, too, necessitated medical attention and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Subsequently, the following day, Velez was formally booked into Riverside County Jail on suspicion of the crime. He remains in custody with bail set at $1 million, awaiting his upcoming court appearance.
