Sayvon Propps Death – The man who was killed at a hotel near the airport on Wednesday has been identified as Sayvon Propps, a 30-year-old resident of Des Moines. According to a news release from Sgt. Paul Parizek, spokesperson for the Des Moines Police Department, another individual, a 31-year-old man from Des Moines, was also injured and is currently in critical condition.
The police believe that there was a gunfire exchange in the hotel room, resulting in injuries to both victims. The release did not specify who is believed to have fired the shots. The Des Moines Police Department and Des Moines Fire Department responded to the shooting at the Ramada by Wyndham Des Moines Airport at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, they discovered the two victims, with Propps having already passed away at the scene and the injured person being transported to a local hospital. This incident marks the second homicide case in the city this year, both occurring within the past eight days.
