Sidney Burrough Death – The identity of the victim involved in a hit-and-run incident in Humphries County on Sunday has been established. As per the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the individual who tragically lost their life was outside their vehicle, assessing the aftermath of a previous collision. While standing near their vehicle on Highway 49 West, close to the Will Whittington Auxiliary Channel Bridge in Humphreys County, they were struck by a white Ford F-250.
The driver of the Ford fled the scene and was last observed heading north from the crash location on Highway 49 West. It is expected that the white Ford F-250 sustained damage to its front hood or bumper.
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Sidney Burrough from Yazoo County. Burrough was a student at the University of Southern Mississippi.
