Stephon Tinner Death – The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who was killed in an apparent hit and run incident in Tacoma on Monday. The victim, Stephon Tinner, 30 years old, succumbed to multiple blunt-force injuries near the intersection of Pacific Avenue South and 94th Street. The medical examiner has classified his death as an accident, as stated in a press release.
Upon receiving reports of a pedestrian being struck by a car, police and firefighters were dispatched to the 9300 block of Pacific Avenue at around 4:35 a.m. Tragically, they discovered the man with fatal injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a previous article by The News Tribune.
Although a witness provided a description of a vehicle that may have been involved, the Tacoma police are currently withholding this information from the public until further investigation, as confirmed by department spokesperson Detective William Muse in an interview with The News Tribune on Wednesday.
