According to the police, a man entered the laundromat and approached another man before shooting him multiple times. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The victim was taken to West Suburban Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as 57-year-old Terry Smith. Currently, no one is in custody, and Area Four detectives are conducting the investigation. In the previous weekend, the city experienced a surge in gun violence, with at least 12 people being shot, one of whom died, according to the police.
