The incident took place in the 3500 block of Southern Oaks Boulevard, where the police were summoned around 2 a.m. Upon their arrival, they encountered the deceased individual.
Initially, the situation was treated as an “unexplained death.” However, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s records revealed the victim’s identity as Victor Bernard Taylor Jr., a 38-year-old male. Following an examination by the Medical Examiner’s Office, it was determined that Taylor had been fatally shot, leading to the reclassification of the case as a homicide.
