William Hack Obituary – The driver involved in the single-vehicle crash in Evendale died Wednesday, according to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office. William Hack, 95, was identified as the driver in the crash that happened on southbound Interstate 75, the coroner’s sheet indicates. Evendale police were dispatched to I-75 South near Shepherd Lane just after 1 p.m. According to a press release, Hack attempted to re-enter the highway through the exit ramp and hit a crash cushion at the beginning of the ramp.
Hack ended up losing control of the vehicle and was hit by several other vehicles traveling southbound, Evendale police said. Emergency responders transported him to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The highway remained closed for nearly three hours while traffic was redirected to the Shepherd Lane exit ramp. It later reopened.
