Adam Ginsberg Death – A 52-year-old man from Dunellen passed away in the early hours of Monday after being hit by a vehicle while crossing Route 1 at Plainfield Avenue. The deceased has been identified as Adam Ginsberg, and Deputy Police Chief Robert Dudash confirmed that Ginsberg has relatives residing in Edison.
According to Dudash, the incident occurred at approximately 2:21 a.m. when a 2016 Honda Civic, driven by a 35-year-old man from the Somerset area of Franklin, was traveling northbound on Route 1 at Plainfield Avenue. The driver had a green traffic light at the time of the accident.
Dudash stated that Ginsberg, who was later identified as the pedestrian involved, walked in front of the vehicle and was subsequently struck. Ginsberg was immediately transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing, and no charges have been filed against the driver as of yet. Dudash also mentioned the presence of a witness at the scene.
