Caitlyn Naffziger Obituary – The New Hampshire State Police have issued an Amber Alert in the early hours of Friday morning for two missing children who are believed to be in danger and are possibly with their father. This alert was prompted by the discovery of a deceased woman in a residence in Berlin. According to New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella, the incident began with a suspicious death on Thursday night. The body of 31-year-old Caitlyn Naffziger was found in an apartment on Main Street in Berlin.
“As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities have issued an Amber Alert seeking the public’s assistance,” stated Formella. The missing children, four-year-old Elowyn Duren and one-year-old Vaelyn Duren, were last seen in Berlin, New Hampshire at approximately 8 p.m. on Thursday, accompanied by their biological father, 37-year-old Dustin Mark Duren.
The connection between Naffziger and the children or Duren has not been disclosed by investigators. Elowyn Duren is described as being 3-feet tall and weighing around 30 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. Her one-year-old sister weighs approximately 20 pounds and also has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Duren, as described by the police, is 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes. In an effort to gather leads in the case, authorities have released photographs of all three individuals and the vehicle that Duren may be driving.
Duren is believed to be operating a white, 4-door 2017 Subaru Impreza with New Hampshire veteran license plates bearing the registration V69023.
“If anyone spots Mr. DUREN, the children, or his vehicle, it is advised not to approach them and to immediately call 911, as Mr. Duren may potentially be armed and dangerous,” stated the State Police in an early morning statement on Friday.
Berlin is located in northern New Hampshire, approximately three hours north of Boston. No further information is currently available regarding the ongoing investigation.
